Did You Know?
Q. Who does InStride serve? InStride currently operates up to 100 sessions weekly, served more than 261 riders and provided 6,700 service units in 2011 with varying challenges like cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injuries. We are also the training site for Special Olympic Equestrians, taking several riders to regional and state competitions from our area annually.
Q. How can InStride increase its services? Like almost every nonprofit, even with our new facility (fully paid for), our ability to serve more riders will depend on our success in attracting increased support from current and new funders, donors and also finding more volunteers. We currently have 10 therapy horses - we have stalls for 28 horses. Help us more than double the number of riders we can serve from Charlotte, DeSoto, Manatee and Sarasota counties!
You can help! Call us at 941-412-9333 to volunteer your time, talent and/or treasures to helping us keep our special riders moving forward!!!
