Instructor Training and Certification

InStride hosts PATH International Workshop & Certification!

InStride Therapy,a nonprofit, independent therapeutic riding center, has been a member of Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) International since 1995.  InStride's physical, occupational and speech therapists are trained through the American Hippotherapy Association (AHA) in addition to their therapy field certifications and State of Florida licenses.

In February, 2011 four more InStride staff and volunteers received their NARHA Registered Instructor certifications!

InStride hosted a PATH Workshop and Certification on February 3 - 7 which was a great success!  Candidates from all over the U.S. and Canada came together during this past weekend to learn and grow in their field of therapeutic riding instruction.

PATH supplied two experienced facilitators to teach and evaluate the candidates.  They both praised InStride for it's well organized hosting of this important event.  Because InStride had the facilities and used its resources to host this skill-building workshop, there are now 18 new registered instructors - almost 90% of the candidates earned their certifications.
